I have worked at Central Avenue Homes since 1998 and we have built more than 460 unit developments, single, double and three storey homes in Perth and surrounding areas in that time.
All homes have been custom designed for our individual clients and most have been on small and difficult blocks in the Perth and surrounding areas.
We build houses from lock up, which is the main structure, walls, roof, windows, ceilings and the house is locked up, and then the client uses their own trades and friends to finish the house, to builders completion, which is when the client finishes off the house with floor and window treatments and landscaping, and turn key, which is a house ready to live in with no more work to do including TV aerials, clothesline, letterbox, landscaping etc.
When you build with Central Avenue homes, you deal with the owners of the business, our in house design draftee is the person that you meet with and discuss your ideas for your new home, she is a Residential Designer & Client Consultant and has been an integral member of the Central Avenue Homes team for over 7 years.
She works one on one with our clients from the initial design process through to construction. With a passion for site responsive and solar passive design she ensures our clients design expectations are realised.

In House Designer = Cost saving, less stress and more convenience
Some of the biggest advantages of using a builder with an in-house designer is convenience, and cost saving.
Our designer works closely with the builder and estimator ensuring that your home is designed in conjunction with your specifications and budget. The builder will also assess your lot so that there is a clear understanding of the site related costs so that those costs can also be taken into account when designing your new home.
It’s a practical solution that offers you everything you need to design your plan and build the perfect home for your family and lifestyle without the stress of shopping your plans around other builders in Perth, getting varying specifications and advice.
When you choose Central Avenue Homes to design and build your new home, the stress and problems will be reduced, as everyone involved in your project will be on the same page for the entire process.
Communication is the key!
Using Central Avenue Homes’ in-house designer, allows us to work with you right from the conception of your project.
The builder, estimator and designer work closely with one another, designing your custom designed home within your budget. Questions and requests are attended to promptly and easily.
Communication between you, the designer and the builder and the team at Central Avenue Homes will enable you to grasp a better understanding of the overall process.
Our in-house designer is able to interpret your needs and wants to come up with a plan that has ‘you’ written all over it, while offering cost-saving ideas and possibilities.
When working with Central Avenue Homes’ in-house designer, the quality control process is organised and efficient.
Your project plans, architectural details, and specifications can all be finalised under the one roof so there aren’t any delays of conflicting priorities.
It’s in the builder’s best interest to ensure your project runs smoothly and on time. External architects and designers don’t have the vested interest and have often moved on to their next project by the time you need them to draw changes to your plans.
Incorporating passive design to create sustainable suburban homes
At Central Avenue Homes we endeavour to use passive design principles so our clients benefit from comfortable environment and lower heating and cooling costs. Throughout this blog series we will discuss what Passive Design is, the key principles and how they can be implemented into your new home design.
Continuing our look into passive design principles, we take a closer look at the importance of site orientation and how to correctly utilise it during the initial design process.
