When we bought our first vacuum seal machine, it was a sunbeam and it was nearly $200.

When we bought the next one for the boat, we only paid $49 and included in that price was 10 bags, 5 medium size and 5 large.

We got the machine, tried the bags and found that they were good quality, so I went on line and bought another 50 of each bags.

We generally use the smaller bags for normal meals, however if we have small amounts to vacuum seal, we cut the bags up and seal one end before using it.

We have vacuum sealed everything food wise, Grumpy gets his pizza dough ready for on the boat and vacuum seals that.

The great thing about vacuum sealing food on the boat is that the bags take up such little room that I can put more stuff on the boat.
